Swinerton Management & Consulting provided Construction Management and Inspection Services on a Full Depth Reclamation Highly Visible Paving Rehabilitation Program.

Construction Management and Inspection Services for the City of Orinda and Town of Moraga’s Pavement Rehabilitation project. The scope of work includes, Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) of over 50 streets, both Rubber Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA) and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), mill & fill pavement overlays, base repairs, construction of concrete v-ditches, minor concrete structures, curb & gutter, HMA lined swales, storm drain repairs and replacement by open cut and CIPP lining, extensive potholing, utility adjustments, and traffic control.

Scope of services included daily onsite observation, quality assurance, photo documentation, preparing daily reports, coordination with materials testing and inspection firm, submittal and RFI tracking, schedule monitoring, change order review and negotiation, bid item quantity tracking, progress payment review and acceptance, and conducting weekly meetings. The project street locations were throughout the City and the Town and were mostly steep, tight residential streets. Swinerton also coordinated with the Contractor and the local utility companies to ensure existing underground utilities were verified or relocated as needed for the FDR process.
