On November 15, Swinerton Management & Consulting (SMC) and Hisense Real Estate US celebrated the groundbreaking of 200 Linden Avenue, a $55 Million, 8-story mixed-use condominium and retail project in South San Francisco, CA.
Hisense, based in Qingdao, China, is a large multinational company that develops for-sale multifamily projects in China. Hisense Real Estate US is a new division which is embarking on developing similar projects in North America. 200 Linden is the first of many Hisense projects in the US.
Hisense was selected for the 200 Linden project through a Developer RFP issued by the City of South San Francisco on a site owned by the City. The project complies with the City’s Downtown Station Area Specific Plan which encourages mixed-use development and housing in the historic downtown area near the new South San Francisco Caltrain Station.
In addition to Project and Construction Management services, SMC led Hisense through a very challenging entitlements and property transfer process, and managed procurement of the Hisense consultant team.
